HUTIRA green gas has become a distributor of equipment for monitoring and analysis of hydrocarbon mixtures. Emerson’s Rosemount 370XA model chromatographs will also be offered to other providers of comprehensive biomethane solutions. It is virtually the only variant that has the approval of the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI).

Gas chromatography is a widely applied method used in biomethane plants to monitor and analyse hydrocarbon mixtures and determine the heat of combustion. “Gas chromatographs evaluate the quality of the injected biomethane and are therefore an indispensable tool for biomethane plants. These plants will play an important role in Europe’s energy mix in the future. This was confirmed by the recently announced RePowerEU plan. The European Union is counting on biomethane as a partial substitute for natural gas. That’s why we are pleased to be able to distribute a model suitable for biomethane plant injection units on the Czech market,” says Monika Zitterbartová, Executive Director of HUTIRA green gas.

Emerson gas chromatographs are installed as a stand-alone analyser or as part of an analytical system. In particular, they provide excellent accuracy and repeatability over a wide dynamic range, from percentage to trace level. In addition, they are virtually the only variant on the market that has CMI metrological approval valid for the Czech Republic.

Emerson’s Rosemount 370XA natural gas chromatograph (GC) is particularly suitable for biomethane applications due to its technical characteristics and affordability, and its technology makes it easy to replace the GC module on site in less than two hours, including warm-up and cleaning time. This greatly reduces downtime and overall operating costs.
