Wastewater Treatment Plant Prague - Císařský Island
Project Rakvice – Supply of Container Technology for Measuring the Quality and Quantity of Biomethane and Injection into the High-Pressure Gas Pipeline
About the Project
- Modernization of the existing biogas plant with the expansion of biomethane production and its injection into the GasNet gas network. The originally open storage pit was also covered, completely preventing even minimal potential methane leakage from the digestate.
- The operator of the biomethane plant is BPS Rakvice s.r.o. HUTIRA supplied a container unit for the injection of biomethane into the gas network for this project.
- Implementation is planned for 3/2024.
- The investor plans to provide balancing services with the existing cogeneration units and is considering subsequently supplementing the plant with photovoltaics to cover its technological own electricity consumption. The PV panels will be placed on the walls of the silage trough.
- An interesting aspect is the use of waste heat from technological processes for drying fuel wood.
- The expected annual biomethane production at BMS Rakvice: 6.840 GWh.
Scope of Technology Supply from HUTIRA:
Unit for measuring the quality and quantity of biomethane in container design:
- Emerson Rosemount 370 XA chromatograph
- Analyzers for measuring H2S, O2, and dew point
- Return line for non-compliant gas
- Container design
- Compressor unit with a capacity of 114 Nm³/h of biomethane
- Output pressure of 20–27 bar(g)
- Commercial measurement
