Biomethane station in Litomyšl again welcomed important guests

Over the last month, several important guests have visited the biomethane station in Litomyšl. The role of a guide was again taken by the director of the Agricultural Cooperative of Breeders and Growers Litomyšl Ing. Jan Pechanec, who mentioned that the station has just completed one year of operation.

At the beginning of the month, we were honoured by a visit of the Minister of Agriculture Marek Výborný together with other important representatives of the Czech energy sector and the Member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Mr. David Šimek.

Furthermore, within the framework of the conference organized in Litomyšl by the Association of Modern Energy in cooperation with CZ Biom, the biomethane station was visited by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Markéta Adamová Pekarová, who also sponsored the event. In addition to experts and company representatives, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Modern Energy Association and CEO of ČEZ ESCO Kamil Čermák, member of the ERO Council Ms. Markéta Zemanová and other important guests also attended.

A delegation of the management of PKN Orlen, which plans to actively develop biomethane not only in Poland but also in the Czech Republic, was a very important visit.

We followed up the tours of the project in Litomyšl by attending a conference organized by the Czech Biogas Association in Třeboň – Construction and Operation of Biogas Stations. At this conference, Monika Zitterbartová, Executive Director of HUTIRA green gas, presented “Successfully implemented biomethane projects in the Czech Republic” and shared with the participants her experience with the construction and implementation of these projects.

The development of biomethane was subsequently communicated at the SBA conference in Martina, where we were also present.

It is clear that biomethane is becoming more and more topical and we are delighted with the great interest in this topic. We believe that biomethane has a green future in the Czech Republic as well.
