HUTIRA green gas supplied gas technology for the operation of the CNG refueling station for the largest domestic operator of refueling stations.
The company HUTIRA green gas participated in the supply of technology for the compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station for motor vehicles. The contract for the operator of the largest network of CNG refueling stations in the Czech Republic, innogy Energo, involved the implementation of commercial measurement, which is now used by both the old and new technology of the CNG station. HUTIRA green gas thus leveraged its many years of experience in the gas industry and provided the customer with a tailored solution.
To minimize the impact of the outage of CNG technology from innogy Energo, the largest operator of CNG refueling stations in the Czech Republic, HUTIRA green gas carried out this project in a record short time. ‘The refueling station is heavily utilized by clients, and we could not afford a longer interruption of operations,’ explains Martin Doubek, project manager at innogy Energo. Considering the short downtime of the CNG station, it was necessary to have all parts of the measurement series and pipeline prepared so that we could carry out the reconnection and downtime of the existing technology within the required deadlines. ‘Thanks to quality preparation, the installation went smoothly, deadlines were met, and the reconstruction was completed on time and to the required quality. We owe thanks to the employees of HUTIRA,’ adds Doubek.
Unlike typical installations, the unique project in Brno involved the simultaneous expansion with a second technology. It was necessary to reconnect not only the existing technology but also the new technology to the natural gas connection. The layout made it a non-standard construction for placing the technology and for the overall implementation, as it was necessary to respect the original measurements and the distribution of the original CNG technology.
The measurement cabinet, including the input gates, was also sized to allow for easy and safe future installation and dismantling of the gas meter. HUTIRA green gas carried out the installation of the gas meter and its commissioning in accordance with applicable standards.
